Ireland invoice template
Irish businesses registered for VAT issue invoices that show their VAT number and the VAT charged. This template opens set up for euros, A4 paper and VAT at the standard 23%.
What an invoice in Ireland usually includes
- Your name or business name, and address
- Your VAT number, if you are registered
- A unique invoice number and the invoice date
- A description of the goods or services, with quantities and prices
- The VAT rate and amount, and the total
- The total due, and how to pay
This is a general guide, not tax or legal advice. Rules change and depend on your situation, so check with your tax authority or an accountant.

Questions people ask
Which VAT rate should I use?
The standard rate is 23%, but reduced rates apply to some goods and services. Change the rate to match what you supply.
Do I need a VAT number?
Only if you are registered for VAT. Check with Revenue for the current registration thresholds.
Is anything I type sent to a server?
No. The document is made inside your browser. Your business details and the last document are remembered on this device only, so you do not have to retype them, and you can wipe them with the link under the preview.
