What this does
Set out what you will do and what it will cost, with the total, tax and any deposit worked out for you. Set a “valid until” date so the price does not stand forever. No account and no watermark.
How to use it
- Add your business details once. They are remembered on this device.
- Fill in who the quote is for.
- Add a line for each item or task.
- Set how long the quote is valid, add any deposit, and add your terms in the notes.
- Save it as a PDF, Word or Excel file.
Save it in the format you need
When you are done, choose how to keep it:
- PDF — ready to email or print.
- Word (.docx) — opens in Word, Google Docs and Pages, if you want to change it further.
- Excel (.xlsx) — opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers, with the totals as working formulas.
- CSV — the line items, for any spreadsheet or accounting program.
- Web page (.html) — a single file you can open in any browser.
- Plain text — or Copy as text, to paste into an email.
- Save to reopen later — a small file that brings the whole document back next time.
- Print — choose Save as PDF in the print box to keep any language or alphabet.
Questions people ask
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is usually a fixed price you commit to. An estimate is your best guess and can change. Use the notes box to say which one yours is.
How long should a quote be valid?
Thirty days is common. If your costs change quickly, use 7 or 14. Set it in the Payment terms box.
Can I turn the quote into an invoice?
Yes. Use Save to reopen later, then open the file on the invoice page. The items come across.
Can I ask for a deposit?
Yes. Type the amount in the Deposit box and it shows under the total.
Is anything I type sent to a server?
No. The document is made inside your browser. Your business details and the last document are remembered on this device only, so you do not have to retype them, and you can wipe them with the link under the preview.
