What this does
A pro forma invoice is sent before the goods or services are delivered. It shows what will be charged, so the customer can pay upfront or use it for customs. No account and no watermark.
How to use it
- Add your business details once. They are remembered on this device.
- Fill in who it is for and the date.
- Add a line for each item, with quantity and price.
- Add any deposit already paid, and your payment details.
- Save it as a PDF, Word or Excel file.
Save it in the format you need
When you are done, choose how to keep it:
- PDF — ready to email or print.
- Word (.docx) — opens in Word, Google Docs and Pages, if you want to change it further.
- Excel (.xlsx) — opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers, with the totals as working formulas.
- CSV — the line items, for any spreadsheet or accounting program.
- Web page (.html) — a single file you can open in any browser.
- Plain text — or Copy as text, to paste into an email.
- Save to reopen later — a small file that brings the whole document back next time.
- Print — choose Save as PDF in the print box to keep any language or alphabet.

What is a pro forma invoice?
A preliminary invoice that describes a sale before it happens. It is not a request for payment in the same way as a final invoice, though customers often pay from it.
When would I use one?
When you want payment before you ship, when goods cross a border and customs need a value, or when a customer needs an invoice to arrange funding.
Is it a legal tax invoice?
Usually not. Once the sale is complete, send a final invoice. Check the rules in your country.
Is anything I type sent to a server?
No. The document is made inside your browser. Your business details and the last document are remembered on this device only, so you do not have to retype them, and you can wipe them with the link under the preview.
